Expanding Canada’s Wildfire Response Capacity

Hyperion Technical is seeking strategic investment partners to acquire and expand an existing Canadian helicopter operator with current Air Operator Certificate (AOC) allowing for the rapid deployment of additional rotary-wing resources for wildfire suppression, emergency response, utility support, and remote community operations.

The Problem

  • Wildfire seasons are becoming longer and more severe.
  • Demand for helicopters routinely exceeds available capacity during peak fire activity.
  • Governments and agencies require additional qualified operators and aircraft.
  • Construction and Establishment of a new and unproven TC certified operation could take significant time and face consideraable foundational difficulties in staffing and logistics.

The Solution

  • Acquire an existing Transport Canada AOC accredited operator.
  • Retain operational infrastructure, talent and regulatory approvals.
  • Expand existing fleet operations with additional medium-lift helicopters.
  • Increase available wildfire and emergency-response capacity immediately.

Executive Summary

INVESTOR READY

Hyperion Technical is a First Nations-owned aerial support and technical services company focused on expanding Canada’s capacity to respond to wildfires, natural disasters, and critical infrastructure emergencies.

As wildfire activity intensifies across British Columbia and Canada, the availability of qualified rotary-wing operators has become an increasingly important national resilience issue. Hyperion is pursuing a strategic acquisition of an existing helicopter operator holding a Canadian Air Operator Certificate (AOC), allowing the company to accelerate deployment timelines, retain experienced operational personnel, and rapidly expand its wildfire-response fleet.

The proposed transaction combines immediate operational capability through the AOC acquisition with a multi-phase fleet expansion strategy designed to add medium-lift helicopters capable of supporting wildfire suppression, crew transport, external load operations, emergency logistics, and remote community support.

By integrating Indigenous leadership, rotary wing aircraft, UAV technology, and technical field operations expertise, Hyperion aims to become a leading Indigenous-led aerial response company serving government agencies, utility providers, resource industries, and First Nations communities across Canada.

KEY ADVANTAGES OF A CORPORATE AOC ACQUISITION

Building from scratch requires:

  • Regulatory approvals
  • Operations manuals
  • SMS implementation
  • Training programs
  • Personnel recruitment
  • Multi-year certification process

Acquiring an existing AOC offers:

  • Immediate operational authority
  • Existing safety systems
  • Experienced crews and management
  • Established client relationships
  • Faster revenue generation
  • Rapid wildfire deployment capability

A targeted corporate acquisition delivers investors a proven ROI raising investor confidence and capital security through retention of legacy systems, personnel and existing contracts while lowering initial startup costs and dramatically reducing operational readiness timelines when compared with a new venture startup. This strategic partnership stands to immediately address the need to safeguard currently at risk communities and critical infrastructure projects in BC.
